Shaka Triad
Shaka is often enshrined together with other heroes. Especially, on both sides of Shaka, you can often find Monju and Fugen.
Monju supports this by making Shaka’s teachings easier to understand for people. Fugen supports people in practicing those teachings.
This set of three is called the “Shaka Triad“!
Central
Shaka is the original hero and master of all Buddhas.
The right side of Yakushi
Fugen rides on a sacred white elephant, guiding people toward enlightenment.
The left side of Yakushi
Monju rides on a sacred lion and guides people with great wisdom.
